March Activities at Delaware Court

We’re so glad that spring is finally upon us at Delaware Court! As the sun shines outside and the weather grows warmer, the smiles on our faces shine a little bit brighter! Speaking of smiles, nothing makes for good memories like our monthly activities! Here’s what we’ve been up to in March:

We started March off with exciting arts and crafts! In honor of Mardi Gras, our residents created their own decorative masks and showed off their beautiful creations. Then, in preparation for St. Patrick’s Day, the following week we crafted some shamrocks for extra luck! These activities allow us to work on our motor and memory skills while having a blast!

We continued these crafts by making some beautiful jewelry pieces, just in time for spring! Residents have gotten the chance to show off their unique bracelets and necklaces, and this activity is a favorite in the community. Plus, did you know that the art of jewelry making promotes mental health and reduces blood pressure? Good thing we do it often here at Delaware Court!

Creating art is not the only way we have fun around here! From time to time, we host karaoke sessions and sing along to our favorite jams. We also welcomed our 50s and 60s music man this month, and our residents had a great time listening to classics!

Thanks for reading all about our March activities! While we do love having fun, we also value our residents’ mental, physical and emotional health at our skilled senior nursing facility. This is why our activities are designed to stimulate all three of these areas. If you’d like to learn more about additional programs and features, please check out our website, and check back here in April to see what we’re up to!
